Cuero wouldn't let Yoakum keep a hold of the ball as they managed to force three fumbles. It was truly a group effort as Jace Gamez, Kason Roy, and David Leinen picked up one apiece. Another thorn in Yoakum's side was Jossiah Taylor, who made nine total tackles and snagging an interception.
Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 57-21, which was the final score in Miller's tilt against DeSoto on Friday. The loss was the Buccaneers' first of the season.
Miller might have lost, but man, Broderick Taylor was a machine: he picked up 136 receiving yards and two touchdowns, and also rushed for 116 yards and a touchdown. Another player making a difference was Trevor Long, who threw for 291 yards and two touchdowns.
