The Parkersburg Catholic Crusaders's road trip will continue as they head out to face the Roane County Raiders at 7:30 p.m. on February 8th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in West Virginia (Parkersburg Catholic is ranked 39th, while Roane County is ranked 47th).
Last Friday, Parkersburg Catholic came up short against Hampshire and fell 46-37.
Meanwhile, Roane County also suffered a loss in their last game, but this one to Doddridge County by a score of 53-44.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Anna Tolley, who scored 15 points along with three steals. She continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Braylin Bowe, who scored ten points along with five rebounds and four steals.
Parkersburg Catholic has traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-5 record this season. As for Roane County, their loss dropped their record down to 13-6.
Parkersburg Catholic couldn't quite finish off Roane County when the teams last played two weeks ago and fell 52-50. Can Parkersburg Catholic avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
