Softball Recap: Pittsburg Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Pittsburg never let their opponents score on Thursday. They put the hurt on the Antioch Panthers with a sharp 12-0 victory. Considering the Pirates have won four games by more than nine runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

The win was the third in a row for Pittsburg, bringing their record up to 5-4. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for Antioch, they are on a 14-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-10.

Looking ahead, Pittsburg is taking a road trip to take on Liberty at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Pirates will need to watch out since the Lions have now posted at least ten runs in their last three matchups. As for Antioch, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Deer Valley at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
