Marshall Academy added to the longest winning streak in MAIS A District 1 this week by beating Tunica Academy, 49-13. This was the team's seventh consecutive win.
West Memphis Christian moved up to 168 from 258 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in the league. The Black Knights climbed the ranks as a result of falling to DeSoto 39-20.
West Memphis Christian's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Black Knights feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Trevor Pagan has thrown for 2,434 yards and 25 touchdowns this season, while Keari Brown has 31 catches for 702 yards.
The top two teams in the league will face off this week when first place Marshall Academy takes on second place DeSoto.
