On Friday, GEO Next Generation came up short against Dunham and fell 44-34. While losing is never fun, GEO Next Generation can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 234th, while Dunham is ranked 102nd).
Despite the loss, GEO Next Generation still got an impressive performance from Quinniece Darby, who scored 21 points. That was a full 61.8% of GEO Next Generation's points, marking the fifth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Brianna Hawthorne, who scored two points along with seven blocks.
GEO Next Generation's loss dropped their record down to 21-11. As for Dunham, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 24-7 record this season.
GEO Next Generation does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Dunham also has no future games currently scheduled.
