The Middle Tennessee Christian Cougars were the  68-55 winner over the Providence Christian Academy LIONS when they last played one another  back in February of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. Middle Tennessee Christian took a  63-47 bruising from Providence Christian Academy on Friday. While losing is never fun, Middle Tennessee Christian can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage  in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings  (they are ranked 124th, while Providence Christian Academy is ranked 33rd).
 Several Cougars players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was   Madison Graham, who  scored 16 points. Graham scored a full 34% of Middle Tennessee Christian's points, the third time in a row she's  earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of  Anna clay Shirley, who  scored 16 points.
 Middle Tennessee Christian's defeat  ended  a  three-game streak of wins at home  and  dropped them to 7-8. As for Providence Christian Academy, the  win was  the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 9-3.
 Coincidentally,  the two teams will both be playing University School of Nashville the next time they take the court. Providence Christian Academy will  host University School of Nashville at 6:00  p.m.  on Tuesday, while Middle Tennessee Christian will head out to face them  at 6:00  p.m.  on Thursday.
