The Berean Academy Eagles will head out on the road to face off against the Dalton Academy Pumas at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Given that both teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.
Last Friday, Berean Academy lost to the at home by a decisive 49-33 margin. While losing is never fun, Berean Academy can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 398th, while the are ranked 184th).
Meanwhile, Dalton Academy's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their 11th straight defeat. They were outmatched by Coosa on the road and fell 50-16. Dalton Academy has not had much luck with the Eagles recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
This is the second loss in a row for Berean Academy and nudges their season record down to 2-5. As for Dalton Academy, their defeat was their eighth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 1-15.
Berean Academy strolled past the Pumas in their previous meeting back in January by a score of 44-26. The rematch might be a little tougher for Berean Academy since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
