It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Palmdale had no problem doing just that on Friday. They took down the Diamond Bar Brahmas 39-20. Winning may never get old, but the Falcons sure are getting used to it with their sixth in a row.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Palmdale to victory, but perhaps none more so than Elleyon Clark, who rushed for 182 yards and three TDs while picking up 10.1 yards per carry, and also picked up 37 receiving yards. The Falcons are 5-1 when Clark posts 80 or more rushing yards, but 1-4 otherwise. Joshua Suarez was another key signal caller, throwing for 324 yards and three touchdowns while completing 77.8% of his passes.
They were just one part of a punishing run game: Palmdale was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 230 rushing yards. That's a new trend for them: they were averaging 74.9 rushing yards per game earlier this season, but in their last five matchups they've averaged 175.3.

Palmdale now has a winning record of 6-5. As for Diamond Bar, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-8.
Coming up, Palmdale will challenge South Pasadena at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. That game will pit two of the most dominant backs against one another: Clark and Trey Freking. Diamond Bar does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
