After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Cathedral Catholic, the Patrick Henry Patriots were happy to have found some success on Wednesday. They enjoyed a cozy 48-32 victory over Mount Miguel. For Patrick Henry, this counts as revenge for the 46-45 loss Mount Miguel walked away with the last time they faced one another back in June of 2021.
Patrick Henry's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Kenneth Klu, who scored 17 points along with three steals. Klu also scored 15+ points for the first time this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Derek McBride, who scored 11 points along with six rebounds.
Despite the loss, Mount Miguel still got an impressive performance from Thaddeus Boudreaux, who scored nine points. Another player making a difference was Braylin Cardwell, who scored five points.
Patrick Henry now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Mount Miguel, their loss dropped their record down to 4-1.
Patrick Henry won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Mater Dei Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on December 7th. Allowing an average of 72.5 points per game, Mater Dei Catholic has struggled on the defensive end, but that doesn't have to be the case in this match. As for Mount Miguel, they will face off against Christian at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday.
