The West Chargers came tearing into Friday's game with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 12.7 points) and they left with even more momentum. They really took it to Leavenworth for the full four quarters, racking up a 66-39 victory at home. That looming 66-39 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for West yet this season.
Leading West to victory were Kamoni Ford and Jalen Foy. Ford dropped a double-double on ten points and ten rebounds, while Foy scored 13 points along with seven assists and three steals. Another player making a difference was Caden Mcgee, who scored 11 points.
West's victory bumped their record up to 8-4. As for Leavenworth, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-8-1.
West will head out on the road to square off against Lansing at 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Lansing is out to stop a five-game streak of losses at home. Leavenworth will take on Bonner Springs at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Bonner Springs focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 15 last Tuesday.
