It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the Westminster Christian Warriors can now relate to. They had to suffer through a rough 76-34 loss at the hands of the Bulldogs. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Westminster Christian has scored all season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Riviera Prep to victory, but perhaps none more so than Dante Allen, who scored 17 points along with eight rebounds and four steals. Allen hasn't dropped below two steals for 16 straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Mason Fuentes, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 11 assists.
Westminster Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 18-9. As for Riviera Prep, they pushed their record up to 20-8 with that victory, which was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season.
Westminster Christian's road trip will continue as they head out to face Westminster Academy at 7:00 p.m. on February 15th. Westminster Academy will roll in looking for their tenth straight win, something Westminster Christian surely won't give up without a fight. As for Riviera Prep, they will take on Florida Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Riviera Prep knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past 15 games -- so hopefully Florida Christian likes a good challenge.
