There's no place like home for the Cook Hornets, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped on Saturday as they easily beat Berrien 76-41 at home. That 76-41 margin sets a new team best for Cook this season.
Cook got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Chavious Hobbs out in front who scored 18 points along with five rebounds. That's the first time this season that Hobbs scored 15 or more points. Another player making a difference was Reshauld Tippins, who scored 18 points along with three steals.
Cook's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-6. As for Berrien, they are on a 12-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-14.
Cook and Dodge County will face off at 7:30 p.m. on January 9th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Dodge County will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak. As for Berrien, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Fitzgerald at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Fitzgerald has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 392 points over their last six contests.
