After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Father McGivney Catholic, Vandalia was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 4-2 victory over the Cumberland Pirates. This was payback for the Vandals, who suffered a 3-2 loss the last time these two teams met.
Jack Lewis was excellent, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases.
The win got Vandalia back to even at 1-1.
