The Lake City Panthers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their eighth straight defeat. They took a 82-66 bruising from Camden. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Despite the loss, Lake City still got an impressive performance from Blayne Edwards, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 15 rebounds. Edwards hasn't dropped below 11 rebounds for four straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Amari Hanna, who scored 12 points.
It was another big night for Israel Macklin, who scored 40 points for Camden. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Macklin has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Damon Howey, who scored nine points.
Lake City has not been sharp recently as the team's lost ten of their last 12 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-16 record this season. As for Camden, their win bumped their record up to 10-13.
Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Darlington the next time they take the court. Camden will head out to face Darlington at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, while Lake City will head out to face them at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
