Even though the Ocean View Christian Patriots have not done well against the Warner Wildcats recently (they were 0-5 in their previous five matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. Ocean View Christian walked away with a 44-34 win over Warner. The score was all tied up 16-16 at the break, but Ocean View Christian was the better team in the second half.
Warner's lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Omar Acosta, who scored 10 points along with 6 rebounds. Antonio Amado was another key contributor, scoring 7 points.
The win makes it two in a row for Ocean View Christian and bumps their season record up to 2-1. As for Warner, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-6.
Ocean View Christian will head out on the road to face off against Bayfront Charter at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Bayfront Charter will be looking to keep their three-game home win streak alive. Warner will take on Horizon Prep at TBD on Friday.
