The Highland Hawks will head out on the road to challenge the Chandler Wolves at 3:45 p.m. on Wednesday. Highland will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.
On Monday, Highland got the win against Cesar Chavez by a conclusive 11-1. The Hawks might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six matches by six runs or more this season.

Ryder Wilmarth looked comfortable as she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit over four innings pitched. What's more, she posted four strikeouts, the most she's had since back in March of 2024.
On the hitting side, Abbie Shellabarger was a standout: she went 1-for-2 with one home run, one stolen base, and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Lillian Thruston, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, one triple, and two RBI.
Highland was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .381. They are 6-1 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Meanwhile, after soaring to 18 runs the game before, Chandler was a bit more limited in their contest on Tuesday. They came up short against Xavier College Prep, falling 7-1.
Chandler's defeat dropped their record down to 7-4. As for Highland, they now have a winning record of 7-6.
Wednesday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Highland hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .361. However, it's not like Chandler struggles in that department as they've averaged .448. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Everything went Highland's way against Chandler in their previous matchup back in March of 2024, as Highland made off with a 17-10 victory. Does Highland have another victory up their sleeve, or will Chandler turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
