Last Tuesday, everything went Elkmont's way against Lindsay Lane Christian Academy as Elkmont made off with a 57-36 victory. Given Elkmont's advantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 187th, while Lindsay Lane Christian Academy is ranked 427th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
It was another big night for Thea Hamlin, who went 6 for 8 from beyond the arc en route to 18 points and 2 assists. Another player making a difference was Savannah Williams, who scored 13 points.
Belgreen has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six contests by 20 points or more this season. They were the clear victor by a 60-34 margin over Winston County. The victory was familiar territory for Belgreen who now have three in a row.
The win makes it two in a row for Elkmont and bumps their season record up to 7-10. As for Belgreen, their win was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-3.
