Softball Recap: Wolfson Has No Trouble Against ED White

While Wolfson put up plenty of runs on Thursday, the same can't be said for ED White. The Wolfson Wolfpack were the clear victor by a 15-0 margin over the ED White Commanders. The Wolfpack might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six matchups by 15 runs or more this season.

Madison Saling and Addison Booher were a major factor while hitting and pitching. Throwing, Saling tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Meanwhile, Booher pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Saling has been consistent : she hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances. At bat, Saling scored a run while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances, while Booher went 2-for-3 with four RBI and one run.

In other batting news, Wolfson got a massive performance out of Isabel Nieves, who scored three runs and stole Two bases. while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Sarah Wisniewski, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

Wolfson always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .676. They are a perfect 5-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

Wolfson has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-2 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.2 runs on average over those games. ED White's defeat was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-5.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Wolfson will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Riverside at 6:00 p.m. on March 26th. ED White also won't see the field for a while: their next game is against Hamilton County at 6:00 p.m. on March 25th.
