The Grace Christian Crusaders put another one in the bag on Saturday to keep their perfect season alive. They blew past Oak City Prep 75-43 on the road. Grace Christian has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 12 contests by 29 points or more this season.
Grace Christian's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Sarah Strong, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 13 rebounds. Strong is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down eight or more in the last 11 games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Icyss Storm, who scored 16 points along with five rebounds and two steals.
Grace Christian's win bumped their record up to 23-0. As for Oak City Prep, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 12-8.
Grace Christian will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Concord Academy at 6:15 p.m. Concord Academy is looking to tack on another W to their five-game streak on the road. Oak City Prep will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Shining Star Sports Academy at 5:30 p.m. on February 13th.
