Leah Pike and Elise Bender were among the main playmakers for Anthony Wayne as the former scored 18 points along with four steals and the latter scored 25 points along with six steals. Bender has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last six times she's played. Another player making a difference was Sophie Smith, who scored nine points along with five assists.
Meanwhile, Rogers came up short against Archbishop Hoban on Saturday and fell 64-52. While losing is never fun, Rogers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 151st, while Archbishop Hoban is ranked 17th).
Anthony Wayne's victory bumped their record up to 14-2. As for Rogers, their loss dropped their record down to 9-6.
