It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the Bridgeland Bears can now relate to. They and Klein Cain were almost perfectly matched up on Friday, but Bridgeland suffered an agonizing 50-49 defeat. Bridgeland's defeat signaled the end of their seven-game winning streak.
Several Bears players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Oscar Nnanna, who picked up 240 receiving yards and two touchdowns. Jett Lewis was another key contributor, throwing for 295 yards and three touchdowns.
Even if they lost, Bridgeland's defensive line sure didn't make it easy: Klein Cain's QB was sacked four times before it was all said and done. In fact, those sacks all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Andre Roy.
Klein Cain was led to victory by Blaine Bullard and Issac Mooring. Bullard picked up 255 receiving yards and three touchdowns, while Mooring threw for 338 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 12.5 yards per attempt. Bullard's longest reception was for an incredible 94 yards.
Bridgeland's loss dropped their record down to 9-2. As for Klein Cain, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season.
Bridgeland does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Klein Cain will take on Westfield at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Westfield has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 269 points over their last four matchups.
