Baseball Recap: Raines Has No Trouble Against Harvest Community

Raines was not the first on the board on Tuesday, but they got there more often. Everything went their way against the Harvest Community Warriors as they made off with a 15-5 victory. Considering the Vikings' hitters had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.

Raines saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jayshawn Wonton, who scored three runs while going 1-for-3. The Vikings are undefeated when Wonton posts two or more runs, but 3-7 otherwise. Jamari Henderson was another, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3.

Raines was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .429. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Harvest Community only posted a batting average of .118.

The win got Raines back to even at 7-7. As for Harvest Community, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 11 of their last 12 matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-13 record this season.

Harvest Community wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 20-5 loss against Parker on the 9th. Hopefully Raines payed attention to the Warriors' contest: the next time they hit the field, they'll take on the Warriors at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
