After losing to the New Bern Bears the last time they met, the J.H. Rose Rampants decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. J.H. Rose secured a 38-34 W over New Bern on Thursday.
Cameron Daise was her usual excellent self, scoring 25 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. Layla Moore was another key contributor, scoring seven points.
J.H. Rose's victory bumped their record up to 4-15. As for New Bern, they have not been sharp recently as the team has lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-17 record this season.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. J.H. Rose will take on Havelock at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for New Bern, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against D.H. Conley at 6:00 p.m. The timing isn't great for New Bern: they have been struggling with four straight losses at home, while D.H. Conley has snatched up seven consecutive wins on the road.
