Greenbrier West is 0-8 against the Bobcats since December of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Greenbrier West Cavaliers' road trip will continue as they head out to face the Summers County Bobcats at 7:30 p.m. on February 6th. Greenbrier West has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
Last Wednesday, Greenbrier West was able to grind out a solid victory over the Highlanders, taking the game 59-50.
Summers County has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They fell to Wyoming East 43-38. While losing is never fun, Summers County can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' West Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 28th, while the Warriors are ranked fourth).
Greenbrier West has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season. As for Summers County, their loss ended a 14-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 12-5.
Greenbrier West came up short against the Bobcats when the teams last played back in January, falling 55-45. Can Greenbrier West avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
