Softball Game Preview: Jourdanton Indians/Squaws vs. Randolph Ro-Hawks

Jourdanton is a perfect 3-0 against Randolph since February of 2022 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Jourdanton Indians/Squaws will be playing in front of their home fans against the Randolph Ro-Hawks at 6:15 p.m. The game will give Jourdanton their first taste of in-conferenceaction this season.

On Saturday, Jourdanton earned a 5-1 win over Somerset.

Jill Martinez spent all six innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on four hits. That's the fewest earned runs she has allowed since back in February of 2024.

At the plate, Jourdanton saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Bobbiejo Gonzales, who went 1-for-3 with one triple and one run. Kayden Martinez also deserves some recognition as she stole her first stolen base of the season.

Meanwhile, Randolph never let their opponents score on Saturday. They came out on top against Jefferson by a score of 3-0.

Jourdanton's victory bumped their record up to 5-10. As for Randolph, their win ended a ten-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 5-9.

Jourdanton took their victory against Randolph in their previous matchup back in February of 2023 by a conclusive 19-0. Will Jourdanton repeat their success, or does Randolph have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
