IMG Academy (Bradenton, Fla.) kept up a steady attack all game long to beat
Monsignor Pace (Miami, Fla.), 35-7, on Saturday.
After taking the lead on a touchdown run by
Michael O'Connor in the second quarter, the Ascenders were up 21-7 at the half.
IMG Academy expanded its lead to 21 points entering the fourth quarter. IA scored once in the quarter on a
Bo Scarbrough touchdown run.
With the win the Bradenton school extended its winning streak to six games. IMG Academy defeated First Academy 35-5 last week.
Monsignor Pace's only touchdown came on a 5-yard run in the first quarter.
The Ascenders had given up an average of 14.6 points prior to the contest.
Monsignor Pace (3-2) will play a non-conference game against Dade Christian next week, while IMG Academy (6-0) will take on Lake Minneola also in a non-conference game.
