Boaz has gone 8-2 against Arab recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Pirates will welcome the Knights at 4:30 p.m. Boaz is coming into the game hot, having won their last 11 games.

Boaz had to skate by with only a two-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the nine-run drubbing they dealt Glencoe on Monday. The Pirates were the clear victors by a 15-6 margin over the Yellowjackets. The Pirates might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 11 matches by six runs or more this season.

Arab never got on the board in their matchup on Tuesday, but that sure wasn't the case in their game against Madison Academy on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Mustangs with a sharp 10-3 victory.

Mattie Couch and Lily Livingston did most of the damage at the plate: Couch went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI, while Livingston went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, three runs, and one double. That's the most hits Couch has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Mallory Grace Thomas, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

Arab was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .500. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

Arab has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 9-16 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.3 runs on average over those games. As for Boaz, their victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 27-7-1.

Boaz beat Arab 7-4 in their previous matchup back in February. Will the Pirates repeat their success, or do the Knights have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
