Red Rock was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 11th straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost to the Williams Vikings on the road by a 62-47 margin. One positive for the Scorpions, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.
Red Rock's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Maria Saldana, who posted 27 points. Dalila Pedroza was another key player, putting up nine points and six steals.
Red Rock's defeat dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Williams, they moved to 3-5 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Red Rock will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Joseph City at 5:30 p.m. on January 7, 2025. After both having extra time off, Williams and Seligman will dust off their jerseys to take on one another at 5:30 p.m. on January 8, 2025.
