It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the Evans Trojans had no problem doing just that on Thursday. They came out on top against the Blue Darters by a score of 65-53. That's another feather in the cap for Evans, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
It was another big night for Arosco Dubois, who scored 32 points along with eight rebounds. Another player making a difference was Jermaine Hardy, who scored 16 points along with three steals.
Evans is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 16-9 record this season. As for Apopka, their loss dropped their record down to 15-12.
Evans didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 80-71 win vs. Ocoee on the 10th. Apopka is on the road again on Thursday and plays University at 7:00 p.m. on February 15th. One thing working in University's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last nine contests.
