On Saturday, the Tokay Tigers were able to grind out a solid win over the Union Mine Diamondbacks, taking the game 69-62.

Several Diamondbacks players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jeremiah Otte, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 14 rebounds. With that strong performance, Otte is now averaging an impressive 9 rebounds per game. Matt Manfredi was another key player, posting 16 points in addition to three steals.
The win got Tokay back to even at 2-2. As for Union Mine, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.
Tokay has already played their next match, a 61-52 victory against Ceres on the 2nd. As for Union Mine, they will face off against Ponderosa at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Union Mine knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past four contests -- so hopefully Ponderosa likes a good challenge.
