Rock Creek had to kick off their season on the road on Saturday, but they showed no ill effects. They came out on top against the Axtell Eagles by a score of 2-0. The Mustangs haven't had any issues with the Eagles recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive victory against them.

Rock Creek easily took the first set, but they let things get interesting in the other. The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 25-20.

Brooklyn Dye paced Rock Creek's offense, picking up seven kills. Dye got some help from Brynna Zoeller and her 14 assists. Zoeller was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

Rock Creek didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against Mission Valley on the 30th. As for Axtell, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 2-0 victory against St. Marys on the 30th.
