Last Friday, Stafford suffered a tough 34-8 defeat at the hands of Riverbend. The last quarter was a mere formality, since the game's final score was reached by the end of the third quarter.
Massaponax fell on hard times earlier this season, but after back-to-back victories it seems like their luck might finally be changing. They walked away with a 28-20 win over North Stafford on Friday. Massaponax's offense checked out after the first half but had enough points banked to take the game anyway.
William Wiggins was the offensive standout of the matchup as he rushed for 71 yards and a touchdown on only nine carries.
Stafford has not been sharp recently, as they've lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season. As for Massaponax, their win bumped their record up to 4-4.
Stafford was taken down by Massaponax 56-0 in their previous meeting back in October of 2022. Will Stafford have more luck at home instead of on the road?
