Mount Paran Christian came out on top in a nail-biter against KIPP Atlanta Collegiate and snuck past 68-65. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Mount Paran Christian's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Carson Harmon, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and 14 rebounds. Those 14 rebounds set a new season-high mark for him. Another player making a difference was Christopher Park, who scored 24 points along with six rebounds.
The win makes it two in a row for Mount Paran Christian and bumps their season record up to 9-5. As for KIPP Atlanta Collegiate, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-10.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mount Paran Christian and North Cobb Christian will face off at 7:00 p.m. on January 9th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Hopefully North Cobb Christian focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 18 on Saturday.
