The Arbor View Aggies will head out to challenge the Coronado Cougars at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Arbor View is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They were the clear victors by a 21-1 margin over Faith Lutheran on Monday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Aggies.
Addison Cordsen looked comfortable as she tossed four innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Breya Hee, who went 4-for-5 with three runs, three doubles, and four RBI. Those three doubles gave her a new career-high. Khloe Beno also deserves some recognition as she brought in her first RBI of the season.
Arbor View always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .641. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.
Meanwhile, Coronado faced Shadow Ridge in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Wednesday. The Cougars blew past the Mustangs 14-5. The game snapped a strange streak: the last four times these teams have met, it?s been the away team that?s taken home the W.
Aubrie Sisler spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered five earned runs on eight hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 11 consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Coronado let Mary Lou Tsunis and Bailey Goldberg run wild. Tsunis went 3-for-5 with one home run, six RBI, and one triple, while Goldberg got on base in all five of her plate appearances with one home run, four runs, and two RBI. Paisley Magdaleno was another key player, scoring four runs while going 2-for-4.
Coronado's win was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 10-8. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.1 runs on average over those games. As for Arbor View, their record now sits at 8-5.
Thursday's matchup will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Arbor View hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .372. However, it's not like Coronado struggles in that department as they've averaged .367. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Arbor View couldn't quite finish off Coronado when the teams last played back in March of 2024 and fell 7-5. Can the Aggies avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
