After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Wando, the Loris Lions were happy to have found some success on Saturday. They put the hurt on Allendale-Fairfax with a sharp 68-43 victory. That 68-43 margin sets a new team best for Loris this season.
Loris found their leader in underclassman TYLER BROWN, who scored 20 points. KHALIL SHERMAN was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.
Loris' win bumped their record up to 7-5. As for Allendale-Fairfax, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost seven of their last nine matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-9 record this season.
Loris' road trip will continue as they head out to face Green Sea Floyds at 7:30 p.m. on January 2nd. The timing is sure in Green Sea Floyds' favor as the squad sits on five straight wins at home while Loris has been banged up by three consecutive losses on the road. Allendale-Fairfax and Whale Branch will face off at 6:30 p.m. on January 3rd without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Whale Branch presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Allendale-Fairfax in South Carolina (Whale Branch is ranked 124th, while Allendale-Fairfax is ranked 269th).
