The Madison Warhawks extended their postseason success on Friday against the Torrey Pines Falcons. They didn't even let the Falcons onto the board and left with a 21-0 victory. Considering Madison has won five games by more than 20 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Jaylon Brown was the offensive standout of the game as he rushed for 107 yards and two touchdowns on only 15 carries. The team also got some help courtesy of Ryley Parenteau, who threw for 108 yards while completing 75% of his passes.
The team's defense also helped out by holding Torrey Pines to a paltry 124 yards. A big part of that defensive dominance came down to Madison's ability to keep the quarterback under pressure: the team laid the passer out three times before it was all said and done. In that department, Takori Davis was the leader with two sacks.
Madison's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 6-6. They've been dominating during the games in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 27 points. As for Torrey Pines, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-4.
Madison will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against St. Augustine at 7:00 p.m. on November 17th. St. Augustine will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak. Torrey Pines does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
