Friday just wasn't the day for De La Salle's offense. They had to suffer through  a    55-0 loss at the hands of the Plainfield East Bengals. The Meteors' loss continues a  trend for the  team, making it seven in a row dating back to last season.
  David Croom was a one-man wrecking crew For Plainfield East. as he rushed for 208 yards and five  touchdowns on only 12 carries. Croom's longest rush was for an incredible 90 yards.  Josiah Wilcox was in the mix  as well, providing Plainfield East with one TD.
De La Salle's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Plainfield East, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.
 Both  squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. De La Salle will square off against Benet Academy at 7:30  p.m.  on Friday. As for Plainfield East, they will challenge Joliet Central at 6:00  p.m.  on Friday. This will  be the Bengals' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
