Saint Andrew extended their winning streak to three on Saturday, bumping them up to 5-1. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Dwyer Panthers 65-62. 65 seems to be a good number for the Scots as the team scooped up a win with the same number of points in their previous game.

Saint Andrew's got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Brendan Gerard out in front who posted 18 points in addition to five assists and five steals. Gerard is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed three or more in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Xander Gerard, who shot 57% from the field on his way to 19 points and seven boards.

They weren't the only ones working in the assist department: Saint Andrew's was working as a unit and finished the game with 18 assists. They racked up six more assists than Dwyer's also-impressive total of 12.

Having lost for the first time this season, Dwyer fell to 2-1. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Friday (61), they still had to take the loss.

Dwyer lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was TORRE WASHINGTON, who dropped a double-double with 21 points and 11 rebounds. JORDAN QUINCE was another key player, dropping a double-double with 15 points and 11 boards.

Saint Andrew's didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 64-49 win against Benjamin on the 2nd. As for Dwyer, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 66-47 victory against Royal Palm Beach on the 2nd.
