Softball Recap: Straughn Has No Trouble Against Excel

It was a proper cat-fight when Straughn challenged Excel on Monday. The Tigers put the hurt on the Panthers with a sharp 10-4 win. The result was nothing new for the Tigers, who have now won ten contests by six runs or more so far this season.

Adelaide Dunn was excellent, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Julia Harold, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI.

Straughn was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .412. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their batting average total in three consecutive games.

Straughn's record is now 23-9-1. As for Excel, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 11-13.

As of now, neither Straughn nor the Panthers have any future games scheduled.
