The Mustangs haven't had any issues with the Panthers recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive victory against them.
Preston Rhodes made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowed only one hit over five innings pitched. What's more, he gave up only zero earned runs, the fewest he's had since back in April of 2024. Meanwhile, The Classical Academy put another one in the bag on Monday to keep their perfect season alive. They were the clear victor by an 11-1 margin over St. Mary's. Considering the Titans have won three contests by more than nine runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.
The team relied heavily on Zack Hale, who fired off two home runs and three RBI while going 2-for-3. Another player making a difference was Carter Patrick, who scored two runs while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.
The Classical Academy lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now launched at least two home runs in three consecutive games.
Manitou Springs' first win this season bumped their record up to 1-3. As for The Classical Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 4-0.
