The Greenbrier Christian Academy Gators lost against the Hampton Christian Academy Warriors last Friday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. Greenbrier Christian Academy received a tough blow as they fell 64-45 to the Warriors. Greenbrier Christian Academy has struggled against the Warriors recently, as their contest on Monday was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.
Greenbrier Christian Academy lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Wyatt Hill, who scored 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Max Vinson, who scored eight points along with six rebounds and two steals.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Hampton Christian Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Bryce Harris, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and ten assists. Harris hasn't dropped below two steals for three straight games. Asher Joyce was another key contributor, scoring 16 points.
Greenbrier Christian Academy's defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 9-5. As for Hampton Christian Academy, their win was their 20th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 19-3.
Greenbrier Christian Academy will take on the Cavaliers at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Hampton Christian Academy, they will head out on the road to challenge the at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Gateway Christian will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Virginia Rankings (they are ranked 346th, while the Warriors are ranked 98th).
