In what's become a running theme this season, the Wall Eagles gave their fans yet another huge victory on Monday. They breezed by Newell on the road to the tune of 83-43. Wall's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Paige Kjerstad was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 18 points and 12 rebounds. She is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down eight or more in the last ten games she's played. Rhea Tucker was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with six rebounds and five steals.
The victory was the fourth in a row for Wall, bringing their record for this year to 13-3. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 72.5 points per game. As for Newell, they have not been sharp recently as the team's lost seven of their last eight games, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-10 record this season.
Wall will take on Freeman at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Wall is coming into the matchup with ten straight victories on the road, meaning Freeman will have to defend against a team hungry for a victory. As for Newell, they will square off against Timber Lake at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in South Dakota (Timber Lake is ranked 122nd, while Newell is ranked 106th).
