If North Cedar were riding high off their 53-24 takedown of Columbus last week, that ride came to an abrupt end. North Cedar ended up on the wrong side of a painful 19-47 walloping at Cascade's hands. The blowout was painful but not necessarily a suprise as Cascade enjoys a considerable advantage in the MaxPreps rankings.
The loss dropped North Cedar's record to 1-4. The win bumped Cascade's record up to 3-2.
Next week North Cedar take on West Branch at 7:00 PM. Both of those teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'. Cascade will be staying on the road, facing off against Northeast. Cascade will be strutting in after a victory while Northeast will be stumbling in from a defeat.
