Ida Crown Jewish Academy had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. Everything went their way against the Cristo Rey Jesuit Cristeros on Monday as they made off with a 9-3 victory. The Aces have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Cristeros, too.

Ami Gavant looked comfortable as he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Noah Lehrfield was excellent, going a perfect 1-for-1 with three RBI and one triple. Another player making a difference was Yossi Burstyn, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and one double.

Ida Crown Jewish Academy picked up their first road win, bumping their record up to 2-5. As for Cristo Rey Jesuit, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-9.

Coming up, Ida Crown Jewish Academy will head out to challenge Westmont at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Cristo Rey Jesuit, they will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Hansberry at 4:30 p.m.
