West Point-Beemer is 10-0 against the Dragons since February of 2017, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The West Point-Beemer Cadets will be staying on the road to face off against the Madison Dragons at 7:00 p.m. on February 6th. Hopefully West Point-Beemer focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up six on Saturday.
West Point-Beemer's game was all tied up 26-26 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They fell just short of North Bend Central by a score of 50-48.
Despite the loss, West Point-Beemer saw an underclassman step up: Hunter Swanson scored 12 points along with five rebounds and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Peyton Penrose, who scored nine points along with two steals.
Even though Madison has not done well against the Warriors recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. Madison walked away with a 56-45 victory over the Warriors.
West Point-Beemer's defeat dropped their record down to 9-9. As for Madison, they pushed their record up to 10-7 with that victory, which was their sixth straight at home.
Everything went West Point-Beemer's way against the Dragons when the teams last played back in February of 2023 as the Cadets made off with a 57-31 victory. With West Point-Beemer ahead 34-14 at the half, the match was all but over already.
