The Lincoln Railsplitters put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They walked away with a 62-55 win over O'Fallon. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Several Panthers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Carolyn Foster, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 13 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Haeli Tart, who scored 15 points along with two steals.
Lincoln's win was their 25th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 29-0. As for O'Fallon, their loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 22-7.
Lincoln won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against the Redbirds at 2:30 p.m. on February 3rd. Alton will be looking to extend their current nine-game winning streak. As for O'Fallon, they will head out on the road to challenge the Kahoks at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
