Red Springs. Over the past week, he racked up one win and seven strikeouts.
West Columbus had a successful week, as it won two total games to lead the league. The Vikings beat
Fairmont 3-1 and
South Robeson 6-0.
Although West Columbus gave up only six hits last week, fewest in the league, the Golden Tornadoes lead the league with just nine allowed all season.
There were four hitters that batted over .400 in the league this week. The group was paced by Eric Jenkins, who collected four hits in seven at bats for a .571 average.
The week's strikeout crown belonged to Locklear, who turned in seven Ks for the Red Devils. He's third in the league with 17 total strikeouts.
Cole Lovin drove in four runners on Tuesday in Fairmont's 16-2 victory over the Mustangs. He went 3-for-4 and scored one run.
