Colorado School for the Deaf Blind was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat dating back to last season. They were dealt a 49-20 loss at the hands of the Cripple Creek-Victor Pioneers. One positive for the Bulldogs, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.
Cripple Creek-Victor had a senior duo take command as Trevor Mirande almost dropped a double-double on 16 points and nine rebounds and Chase Lohmeier posted 11 points and seven steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Mirande has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Dylan Reyes, who put up six points.
Colorado School for the Deaf Blind's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Cripple Creek-Victor, the win got them back to even at 2-2.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Colorado School for the Deaf Blind will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Parkhill Christian Academy at 4:30 p.m. on January 13, 2025. Cripple Creek-Victor and KIPP Denver Collegiate will compete for holiday cheer at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday.
