The Edgewater Eagles are taking a road trip to take on the Belleview Rattlers at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Edgewater is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.9 runs per game this season.

Last Friday, Edgewater was able to grind out a solid victory over Freedom, taking the game 6-3.

The team relied heavily on Sean Baker, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double. That's the most hits he has posted since back in February.

Meanwhile, it may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Belleview ultimately got the result they hoped for on Wednesday. They skirted past Bay 6-4. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Rattlers have posted since February 27th.

Julius Mazzurco tossed a big game, keeping things locked down with no earned runs or hits over 4.1 innings pitched. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two hits in four consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Dylan Florio was excellent, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3. He has become a key player for Belleview: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 5-8 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Dominic Riddle, who went 3-for-4 with one RBI.

Belleview kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Bay only managed five hits.

The victory got Edgewater back to even at 8-8. As for Belleview, they moved to 8-8 with that win, which also ended their four-game losing streak.

Edgewater's speedy runners might be the difference in Monday's match. Edgewater has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 4 stolen bases per game. It's a different story for Belleview, though, as they've been averaging only 0.6 stolen bases. Will they be able to secure the bases, or will Edgewater continue to outrun the ball?
