After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Overland, the Mountain Range Mustangs were happy to have found some success on Wednesday. They walked away with a 43-30 victory over Northglenn. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Mountain Range also won the last time the pair played back in February.
Leading Mountain Range to victory were Camila Jimenez and Daxton Almeida. Jimenez dropped a double-double on 12 points and 12 rebounds, while Almeida dropped a double-double on 11 points and 12 rebounds. That's the first time this season that Almeida pulled down eight or more rebounds. Another player making a difference was Delilah Lucero, who scored nine points along with seven rebounds and four steals.
Mountain Range's victory bumped their record up to 5-3. As for Northglenn, they now have a losing record at 4-5-1.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mountain Range will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Broomfield at 7:00 p.m. on January 5, 2024. Northglenn will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Vista Ridge at 5:00 p.m. on January 2, 2024. One thing working in Vista Ridge's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last three contests.
